Goosebumps...

What gives you goosebumps?
For me music is a universal-shiver-making-machine... ;)
if you want to categorise the music as per it's shiver-making-characteristics, there are basically two types of music...

there's the first-time-shocker music..stuff dat makes u go woo-hoo on listening to it d first time itself...
mostly dis is of d guitar genre for me...an excellent heavy metal number might do it too.. ( here I am - bryan adams ; day-n-nite - kid cudi, etc)

And in the Second class..At times,it requires listening to d track two-three times to get d *drool* effect...and then you're hooked on...and these are d real this-song-will-be-remembered-by-generations material...

So, the latest album that I am listening to, turns out to be of this second genre..

Ishqiya...ibn-e-batuta is lyk wtf-i-cant-get-dis-song-outta-me-head...and d second song I heard....oh my gaaawwwwdddddd!!!!

Dil toh baccha hai....oh man...it is so awesome..and fan-fuk-tastic! :D seems like u r listening to a song of d original ghazal-by-ghulam era in d music...

m sure it will b filmed on Naseeruddin Shah, from d lyrics...and yaar...what lyrics!

Muah! :D

love it...love it.. LURV EET!! :D

a must listen!

well, this isn't a post about any design trends etc...but trends, in general...

we notice around us, a rapid influx and outflux of fashions, trends, "in" things...and the like..

i just saw a small kid wearing a chain on his pant (d type that goes from the front pocket to the ass pocket of a jean?)...and was taken back about 12 years...when i was also a school going kid..and used to wear such a contraption, attached to my wallet...(which contained a maximum of Rs.15 at a high point, and a reserve Rs.50 tucked away neatly beneath a pic of "Dagdushet" in one of the photo pockets..)

and was left wondering...how do trends form...or for that matter, how do we "move on" from what was the fashion / trend / hep thing to do, two days back....?

for me, it is always functionality above anything else..(apart from my piercings..which my mom thinks are a waste of body space.. :P)
anything i wear / carry, has some or the other utility...like my ever-present knap-sack / backpack..it contains mouth freshners (for you-know-what-moments) , a bottle of hand sanitizer, and myriad other contents, which cannot be revealed on a family * snicker snicker * blog... ;)

and then, i have all d jewelery on me, for the fashion part of it...d quintessential thumb ring..nice, fat bracelet / manacle / armlet in d right hand...and my ancient timex triathlon watch...(been using it since 1999..and refuse to use / accept a new one...have changed d belt, part of d dial, and batteries...and i WON'T change it!)

and then there is my jabra...fashionable pendant + high utility bluetooth headset..
pic below.. (yes, i am a HUGE show-off)

but i guess what really sets me apart, is my ear-studs / rings / crazy, wannabe ear-pieces...!!

so i think, i make my own fashion...and start my own trends... ;)

what do you do? :P

so, as is the trend of changing trends[ ;) ], it is really hard to imagine, that this piece of furniture will be obsolete in a few years>>>>

wonder what's next....? :D

FINALLY found a gr8 marathi translation software!!!

Baraha rocks!!! :D

hence, here is my first post in marathi!! :D

sorry for d negative tone though... :)

you don't call back, after you hung up 'cause you were busy...

you don't reply to messages 'cause you were pre-occupied...

and then one day, you send someone an sms wishing them Happy Birthday...and you get a reply... "thanks, but who's this?"

and then it all comes crashing down on you...this guy, whom i'd spent all of my college days with, doesn't have my number???!!!

does he @ least remember me?

if you don't wanna be the sender of that first sms, take an initiative, and keep in touch...

find time for the little things in life like friends...cuz they really aren't little...they give you what you need when you feel you have nothing...

that idiotic banter, meaningless babble, and fun-filled nights...

long walks on the highway...watching the rain fall on your cars' windshields...splashing water on each other's bikes...

that night after your "really-bad-break-up"..when you forgot about the girl you just broke up with, seeing nudes on your buddy's phone...all night long....yes, i know you've done it... :P

that "really-sucky-office-day" when d work just didn't seem to get over...when you laughed on your own misery with your friend on gtalk...she said she'll come to your floor as soon as she finishes her work to give you company...
in reality she'd already left, and came back from home...just to make you feel good...

that stupid ex-girl friend, who came to meet you, just because she didn't want to stop being friends with you...

no matter how many new friends you make...never forget old ones...'cause any friend and every friend matters...

hopefully we all will be there on sunday for the reunion guys...

i will surely apologise in person for not keeping in touch...

*sigh*

yes, a boring post....but couldn't help but write this one...

to all my friends from BMCC...

you guys ROCK! :D

extract from book-in-progress...uploaded on special request..

~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~
"and he found himself at the by-now familiar brink of dexterous avoidance of reality...
by now he had even stopped wondering "why me"...
and given in to the blur of what was reality, and what seemed like reality to him.
and the most idiotic thing was that, no matter how much he thought, he couldn't find a way out...an answer on how to make her happy...on how to not get into a fight....not today at least...
and yet, he knew...they would fight...he would end up cleaning all the shit...
"if only i had listened to Mithila...if only i had a bit more self-restraint...life would have been a totally different story...a completely polar reality...and an equally predicate myth of reality"
and he went on again...drinking the golden peg of JD...at 6 a.m.
wondering where life had come to...and drifting off into the haze of the vodka hukka lying next to him...unknowingly puffing it in his sleep...as if the filter had been glued to his mouth...
trying to clear the plague of emotional uncertainty... "
avatar....
ok. first things first.
jokes thought of during d movie... :D
1.d movie should've been named "I SEE YOU"....and the usual myriad jokes on the said dialogue followed...
2. for my marathi readers - te na'vi lok marathi hote....ugachach maramari kartana dar veli "aai--aai-aai--aiiii" nahi karat te!
3.for my hindi readers - unka bhagwan bihari tha.....jaise hum kehte hai na, "bilwa"..."sajanwa"...waise uska naam hai "ehwa" !!
:D :D
and now starts the real review!!
god damnit!!
wat a movie!!!
James Cameron boulders! ("rocks" is too small an expression)
hats off to the concept of the "connection"....one common interface for all vehicles!!
who'd thought 'bout that?
and yes, i am, as usual, just half hour into the time after the movie, so will abstain from comments...
but one thing's for sure...
you people HAVE to see the 3d version...
and a word of advice - take seats as close to the screen as possible....makes the VFX seem MUCH better :D
aalll eeezzz weeeellllll :D
what do you take from a movie?
well, normally i take home a plethora of emotions explored by me...sometimes they connect, sometimes they don't...
and at times, they BANG into me!! :D
this has happened twice till date...
1.on seeing kung-fu panda ;
2.on seeing 3 idiots. :D
word.
:P
well, i went as usual, not expecting anything from the book, 5 pt sm1, but over-excited with the 4.5 stars the Times of India Review gave it...
and i think it deserves a 6th star, let alone 4.5....jus like kung-fu panda....whose poster on the top ^^^ will soon have company... :D
god damnit!
exceeded expectations....and how! :D
argh!!!
m too stuck up in the experience right now, given that it's been only half hour after the movie....
let's see how long the feel-good bug stays with me after this one....
proper review soon....
until then....
aaallll eeezzzz weelll!!! :D
